Fire Damages Crystal Lake Business
The blaze was reported at a commercial strip mall building Wednesday afternoon in Crystal Lake.

The Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department is investigating the cause of a fire that broke out Wednesday afternoon at a commercial strip mall building.
The fire was reported at 12:38 p.m. by an occupant at Tradewinds Cove Birkenstock, 372 W. Virginia St., according to the Northwest Herald and a Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department press release.
When firefighters arrived, the small blaze was coming from the ceiling, according to the news release. No one was injured in the fire.

There was about $10,000 in damage caused during the blaze, according to initial damage estimates.
Crystal Lake Police assisted with traffic control at the scene. Crystal Lake was assisted by Algonquin, McHenry and Huntley fire departments at the scene of the blaze.
