Firefighters Respond To Brush Fire, Find Man Dead: Authorities
Donald Metivier, 83, was found dead last week on his property in Bull Valley.
MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — The McHenry County Coroner's Office is working to determine the cause of death for a Bull Valley man who was found dead on his property following a small brush fire last week.
On Tuesday, the coroner's office identified the man as Donald Metivier, 83.
The coroner's office was called to Metivier's property to assist the Bull Valley Police Department with an investigation into his death at about 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, according to a news release from the coroner's office.

Authorities say the Woodstock Fire Department responded and found him dead on his property after a small brush fire was reported there.
An autopsy was performed on Monday, and the coroner's office is awaiting results from toxicology testing. The cause of death is currently undetermined.
