Fires Causes $1M In Damages To Downtown Store, Apartments: Officials
The blaze broke out at the two-story building at 73 N. Williams Street in Crystal Lake.
CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — A blaze broke out at a store in downtown Crystal Lake Thursday evening, fire officials said.
The Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department responded to the fire at 73 N. Williams Street at about 6:30 p.m. and found light smoke conditions coming from the rear of the two-story building, according to a news release. The building had a store on the first floor and apartments above.
The blaze caused an estimated $1,000,000 in damages to the building, which sustained heavy fire, smoke and water damage. No one was injured in the fire.
