First-Ever Food Truck Fest Is Coming To McHenry Co.

An inaugural food truck festival is coming to McHenry Co. this September. McHenry County Living is planning the festival on Sept. 16 in the Woodstock Square Historic District. Admission is free but attendees can choose to purchase VIP tickets.

Food trucks that will be on hand at the event include: Pierogi Wagon, Flying Tacos, Izakaya Yume, Lucysfoodtruck, Legit Dogs & Ice, Your Sister's Tomato, The Cookout On Wheels, Mario's Cart, Bopbartruck, Riverside Chocolate Factory and Garden To Glass Juicery.

The festival will run from 5 to 9 p.m. In addition, there will be a market from 4 to 8 p.m. The market will include local crafters, businesses and organizations set up in the Park in the Square. There will also be music in the gazebo and "strolling entertainment" around the square.

The VIP tickets, which range in price from $20 to $30 and include access to a VIP Lounge hosted by Mixin' Mingle "where you can sample craft brews and cocktails, enjoy live music, bring in your food truck scores and nosh on them, and use our indoor plumbing (because nobody likes port-a-potties)."

The event will raise funds for Alexander Leigh Center for Autism.
