Five Area Spots for Mother's Day Brunch

Whatever Mom has a taste for she can find at one of the many local restaurants offering Mother's Day specials.

From a full-brunch to specialty menu items being offered—and reservations still being taken—it's not too late to plan.

, 83 N. Williams Street, Crystal Lake

A breakfast-style brunch featuring Eggs Benedict, waffles, hashbrowns, sausage, fruit and much more will be offered from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with the regular menu available at noon. Bloody Mary's and Mimosas will be $4 with the cost of the brunch $12.99 for adults and $7.99 for kids. Reservations can be made at 815-479-1010.

4419 Northwest Highway, Crystal Lake

Typically a banquet facility, D'Andrea opens its doors for a Mother's Day champagne brunch from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. with the last seating at 2 p.m. Guests will love the homemade food, said office manager Pam Kirnbauer. Ribs, a carving station, a waffle station, salmon and cod and a pastry table are just some of the items on the buffet, which is $24.95 for adults and $11.95 for kids.  Make reservations  by calling 815-459-7234

This local Italian hot spot will offer Mother's Day specials, including Duck Sausage Risotto, Spring Pesto Pasta and Veal Scaloppini. The restaurant will also serve menu items family style for parties of 12 or more. The hours Sunday are from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. with reservations taken at 847-658-5040.

, 1491 S. Randall Road, Algonquin

Mother's Day brunch at Montarra, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., will feature chilled salmon and shrimp, assorted fresh breads, seasonal fruit, a carving station, french toast, eggs, a salad bar, dessert tray and more.  Adults are $37 and children 12 and younger $15. Reservations are recommended and can be made at 847-458-0505.

Brunch Cafe, 414 S. Route 31, McHenry

With no reservations being taken, the Brunch Cafe will serve Mother's Day specials from  6:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. (or later if needed) along with the regular menu items, with prime rib, vegetable quiche and traditional quiche served just for Mother's Day.
