The creative and colorful artwork submitted was in keeping with this year’s theme of “Imagine a car that looks like an animal.” Professional graphic designers reviewed the submissions and selected five finalists per grade level. Winners from each grade level (“best in class”) and an overall winner (“best in show”) were then chosen by Douglas Automotive owners Doug and Janet McAllister.
Each winner received $50 and will have his or her artwork framed and displayed at Douglas Automotive in Crystal Lake for one year. The artwork will then be returned to each student as a special keepsake.
