Former Fox Lake Officer Who Says She was Sexually Harassed by Gliniewicz Speaks Out
Denise Duebner said Lt. Charles Joseph Gliniewicz told her to order tighter uniforms so he could see her backside, NBC Chicago reports.

Denise Duebner, who worked alongside Lt. Charles Joseph Gliniewicz in the 1980s, told NBC Chicago how Gliniewicz sexually harassed her, telling her to order new, tighter uniforms, and how she -- a single mom at the time -- eventually gave into his demands for sex over fears that she may lose her job.
“He’s the kind of person that will make you feel comfortable just enough to intimidate you, just enough to get what he wants,” Duebner told NBC Chicago.

Gliniewicz was her supervisor and mentor at the time and Duebner said she was initially afraid to speak out about the sexual harassment occurring within the all-male police department. But she did eventually tell the police chief, according to NBC Chicago.
“He should have been terminated and they didn’t terminate him,” Duebner told NBC Chicago. “They went after me.”
