Saturday, July 6

FOX RIVER GROVE: The fun gets underway at 6 p.m. at Picnic Grove Park in Fox River Grove. There will be music and then fireworks at dusk. >> More info

WONDER LAKE: Wonder Lake's Independence Day Celebration runs July 5 to 7 this year. There is a full day of fun planned for Saturday, July 6, with the day wrapping up with a water ski show at 4:30 p.m. and fireworks at dusk. >> More info
