Fox River Grove Man Charged with Soliciting Two Minors Online

Authorities say the man used a social media app to solicit explicit images and attempt in-person meetings with two minors.

FOX RIVER GROVE, IL — A 30‑year‑old Fox River Grove man has been charged in Kane County with 17 felony counts for accusations he used a social media app to solicit explicit videos and photos from two minors and also tried to meet them in person.

Prosecutors allege that between September and January, Alexander Meza exposed himself on live video chats and encouraged the children to undress and perform sexual acts on camera, according to Shaw Local. He faces charges including solicitation and possession of child sexual abuse material, indecent solicitation, and sexual exploitation of a child, and is being held in the Kane County jail.

A pretrial hearing is scheduled for Friday as the case moves forward.
