Fox River Grove Man Killed In Lincolnshire Crash

LAKE COUNTY, IL — A 79-year-old Fox River Grove man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Lincolnshire Tuesday night.

The Lake County Coroner's Office has identified the man as William Mooney. Mooney died from blunt force injuries as a result of the crash, according to a news release from the coroner's office.

The collision happened at about 8:15 p.m. Tuesday at Milwaukee Avenue and Aptakisic Road. Mooney, who was driving one of the vehicles involved in the crash, was take to Advocate Condell Medical Center where he was pronounced dead in the emergency room.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
