Free Pancakes Today at IHOP

Free pancakes -- what's not to love?

In celebration of its 12th annual National Pancake Day, the International House of Pancakes (IHOP) is giving away a free short stack of pancakes to customers from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

And the event is for a good cause: In return for the free pancakes, customers will be asked to consider making a donation to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals or other designated local charities.

Since its first National Pancake Day in 2006, IHOP has raised nearly $20 million to support charities in the communities in which they operate.

Nearby IHOP locations include:

• 4228 W. Elm St., McHenry
• 101 S. Randall Road, Elgin
