FREE Pollinator & Plants Discovery Day at the Crystal Lake Park District Nature Center on Sat, Aug 8

FREE, drop in activities 10 am-4 pm plus Bumble Bee expert, Judy Cardin 1-3 pm

Join us for a free Pollinator Plants Discovery Day and explore the fascinating relationship between pollinators and the plants that help them thrive. Learn how native plants support pollinators and discover ways you can create a more pollinator-friendly habitat at home.

We’re excited to welcome special guest Judy Cardin, a bumble bee expert and member of the Wisconsin Bumble Bee Brigade, a citizen-based project dedicated to long-term monitoring and conservation of Wisconsin’s native bumble bees.

Judy will have a table at the Nature Center from 1:00 PM–3:00 PM, where guests can stop by, learn more, and ask questions about these important pollinators. Then, from 3:00 PM–5:00 PM, join Judy for a free guided pollinator hike and in-depth presentation about pollinators and the native plants they depend on for survival. Advanced sign up is recommended through the Crystal Lake Park District's online registration portal at crystallakeparks.org using program activity number 352306
