Volunteer Center McHenry County is excited to host a FREE GROW Funder Panel on March 18 from 4-6 pm at their location in Crystal Lake. This workshop will host a panel of four different local funding agencies and will outline the details of grant opportunities, discuss common problems, give tips and best practices for submitting a successful proposal, and more. This is also an excellent opportunity for grantees who are already receiving funding to get clarification on compliance, ask for feedback, and learn more ways to improve! There will be time for panelists to answer audience questions.

The panelists include Scott Block of the McHenry County Mental Health Board, Hans Mach and Zak Klehr of McHenry County’s Department of Planning and Development, Carole Peters of United Way of Greater McHenry County, and Kelsey Podgorski of The Community Foundation for McHenry County. These funders highly recommend that any organization interested in applying for their grants attend this workshop—even if they’ve received funding in the past. This event is FREE to attend, but registration is required. To learn more or register, visit volunteercentermchenrycounty.org/workshops.
