Visit some of the best home gardens in McHenry County. The University of Illinois Extension McHenry County Master Gardeners and McHenry County College will hold their annual Garden Walk from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 13, to showcase nine beautiful gardens. The tour starts at the McHenry County College Demonstration Garden, located at 8900 Route 14 in Crystal Lake, and meanders through the county.

At each residential garden, hosts have labeled their plants and will be on hand to answer questions and share their secrets to success. In addition, University of Illinois Extension Master Gardeners will answer questions and offer educational materials.

The Demonstration Garden at MCC includes a vine garden, a shade garden, theme gardens and extensive displays of perennials and annuals that grow in the Chicago area.
