Route 176 Re-Opened After Morning Gas Leak
Ongoing construction work in the area may be to blame.
Update: 1 p.m. Crystal Lake Police report Route 176 has been re-opened in the Walkup Road area after the morning gas leak.. The Northwest Herald is reporting a gas leak in the area of First Street and Route 176.
It is believed a construction worker hit a gas line, according the Northwest Herald article.
Traffic is currently closed in both directions on Route 176. A detour is diverting motorists to Walkup Road and Gates Street, the article states.
