The 10th Annual McHenry County Human Race supports over 70 local charities. The April 26, 5K walk/run will take place at McHenry County College, 8900 RT 14, Crystal Lake IL at 8AM. Over 1,000 are expected to register, with many dressing up as their favorite hero.
Individuals can register online at www.mchumanrace.org for $40.00, kids 10 and under are $15.00. In person registration will be held at MCC during bib and t-shirt pick up Saturday April 25 from 11 AM to 2PM for $45 and $45 the day of the race from 6:45 AM to 7:45am at McHenry County College. Registration takes place in MCC’s cafeteria.
This year $2,400 in prize money will be given away. Prizes include: Community Foundation for McHenry County $300.00 award to the nonprofit with the most racers; and the General Kinematic Award of $250.00 to the nonprofit that raises the most dollars. Support from Community Foundation for McHenry County, General Kinematics, Stryker, Northwestern Medicine, Advia Credit Union, Justina Draper of KW Realty, McHenry County College, Northwest Herald, Star 105.5, and The Running Depot helped to bring the race to McHenry County.
