McHenry Great Outdoors Beer Trail Held In September

The outdoor beer tasting event will be held at Fel-Pro RRR in Cary.

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — The McHenry County Conservation District will host its Great Outdoors Beer Trail on Saturday, Sept. 2.

The outdoor beer tasting event, which is in is sixth year, will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. at Fel-Pro RRR, 1520 Crystal Lake Road in Cary. Those stopping out to the event can walk a one-mile paved path while sampling beers from various regional brewers.

The event will feature live music, local food trucks and outdoor games. Tickets will be available for purchase starting at 8 a.m. on Saturday, June 3 at 8 a.m. at MCCD.me/GOBT. The cost for tickets will be $50 before Aug. 1 and will include 3-ounce tastes from multiple brewers as well as a tasting glass.

VIP tickets will cost $60 and will include one-hour early access and a promo goodie bag. Anyone purchasing tickets after July 31 will be charged $60 for general admission tickets.

Designated driver tickets will cost $15 and include water and soda and commemorative glass. All stopping out must be 21 years old or older, and the conservation area will be closed to all other visitors during the event.

The event is dog friendly and a leash is required.
