Heavy Police Presence In McHenry Related To Death Probe: Police
The DuPage County Sheriff's Office is actively investigating the death of a 37-year-old Round Lake man found dead in Pratt's Wayne Woods.
MCHENRY, IL — A heavy police presence reported Thursday morning in McHenry was related to an investigation into the death of a 26-year-old Round Lake man whose body was found at Pratt's Wayne Forest Preserve in DuPage County.
The McHenry County Sheriff's Office issued an advisory warning just before 7 a.m. regarding the heavy police presence in the 1400 block of North Chapel Hill Road in McHenry. According to the McHenry County Sheriff's Office, local authorities responded to the area to assist the DuPage MERIT Major Crimes Unit with the investigation.
McHenry County Sheriff's Office deputy coordinator Tom Stefanson told the Northwest Herald they spoke with a couple of people in connection with the DuPage County death investigation.

The body of the Round Lake man, Francisco Zavala Farfan, was found on March 3 in Pratt's Wayne Woods, according to the DuPage County Coroner's Office.
A DuPage Forest Preserve District police officer and an investigator found Farfan's body roughly 30 feet from the side of Munger Road after his body was spotted by someone in a nearby horse stable. "Fresh tire tracks" were visible near the scene, according to a news release.

"According to law enforcement sources, the man had suspected gang affiliations and had been missing since Jan. 3," DuPage Forest Preserve District Police Chief David Pederson said in the news release.
