Human Race Online Registration Closes April 24 2019

On your mark, get set, go! The McHenry County Human Race discounted online registration of $40 is ending April 24, 2019. The 9th annual 5K walk/run Human Race will take place April 28, 2018 at 8AM at McHenry County College. This community event supports 71 nonprofit organizations serving McHenry County. With online registration closing April 24, 2019 you can still register at $45 the weekend of the race at MCC in the cafeteria: April 27 from 11AM to 2PM and Sunday before the race from 6:45AM to 7:30AM. Over 1000 are expected to register for the Human Race. This unique hero themed race allows race participants to designate which participating organization is to receive a portion of their registration fee. Individuals can also fundraise for an organization of their choice. Along with helping the organization raise dollars these individuals are also helping the organization qualify for cash prizes.

Cash prizes totaling $2,400 this year include: The McHenry County Community Foundation Award of $300 to the organization with the most supporting racers; and The General Kinematics Award of $250 to the top fundraising organization.

It takes a community effort to create a successful race. The following organizations have helped bring the race back this year: Community Foundation for McHenry County, General Kinematics, Northwest Herald, Northwestern Medicine Northwest Herald, Star 105.5, Stryker, Golden Eagle Community Bank, McHenry County College, Holiday Inn Crystal Lake, KW Realtor Justina Draper, and The Running Depot.
