Human Race Registration is Now Open for Charities

Get set up soon - Dec 1 race participants can register!

Registration for charities is now open for the 9th Annual McHenry County Human Race. The April 28, 2019 5K walk/run is the largest collaborative nonprofit event in McHenry County. The family fun community event raises money to benefit local charities and promote volunteerism. It is hosted by Volunteer Center McHenry County. Last year the race supported 78 charities. Charities can find more information and register at www.mchumanrace.org. December 1 registration opens for runners and walkers with a discounted registration fee.

Each registered Human Race participant designates which charity will receive the proceeds of their race fee and any fundraising they do. The Center also hands out $2,400.00 in cash prizes to participating charities.

The success of this event rests with community members, organizations, and businesses that care. Returning sponsors that are committed to go the extra mile with their support include Community Foundation for McHenry County, General Kinematics, Stryker, Northwest Herald, McHenry County College, and The Running Depot. If your organization would like to sponsor this event, contact Volunteer Center McHenry County at 815-344-GIVE (4483). Sponsorship range from $500.00 to $5000.00.
