Coroner IDs Jiffy Lube Worker Killed Friday
The incident happened when a 91-year-old woman driving out of the service bay accelerated, hit the 29-year-old man, police said.
MCHENRY, IL — The McHenry County Coroner's Office has identified the 29-year-old man killed after being hit by a sports utility while working at a Jiffy Lube in McHenry as Joseph Majko of Crystal Lake.
Preliminary autopsy results show Majko died from blunt force trauma following the collision at the car repair shop at 1807 N. Richmond Road Friday afternoon, according to a news release from the McHenry County Coroner's Office. Majko was taken to Northwestern Hospital in McHenry where he died from injuries sustained during the incident, authorities said.
Authorities say Majko was hit by a 2004 Jeep Liberty after the driver, 91-year-old Susan Weisenberger, accelerated while leaving the vehicle service bay at Jiffy Lube. Weisenberger was not injured.

The incident remains under investigation.
