Kid’s Baton and Dance Classes

Movin’ and Groovin’

(Ages 3-5) and (Ages 6-8)

Crystal Lake Park District- Grand Oaks Recreation Center

For Immediate Release- Interested in dancing and tumbling, but can’t decide which to try? This class combines both and will improve student’s coordination and flexibility while learning basic tap, jazz, and tumbling skills. Come have some fun and enjoy time with friends in this fun interactive class.

Baton Twirling

Ages 6-18

Crystal Lake Park District- Main Beach

Love the marching band performances with energetic baton twirlers leading the way? Former Purdue baton twirler, Jana Sinn, will teach basic one/two baton, rhythmic ribbon and marching skill with dance moves mixed in! Purchase of a baton is required for class and information on batons will be given the first day of class.

Kids Latin Jam

Ages 6-12

Crystal Lake Park District—Main Beach

This non-recital class is taught by former two-time USA National Ballroom and Latin Dance Champion Barbara Finn. Barbara will teach the basics of Rumba, Cha-Cha and Swing. Class is open to boys and girls and we will dance with and without dance partners depending on class enrollment. Ballet/Jazz slippers are the preferred footwear and comfortable clothing.
