Henry Basile said he lives in rural Harvard and drove to around noon Friday to see if had reopened yet.
The popular place to shop has been closed since the ceiling succumbed to the weight of rainwater during a fierce storm July 23.
Construction crews and employees of Joseph's Marketplace were buzzing through the place Friday, getting it ready for the much anticipated reopening.

Basile was disappointed to learn he was a few days early.
“Shucks,” he said. “It isn’t opened yet?”

The sign on the sliding door said the Joseph’s would reopen Nov. 15.
“I drive all the way down here to shop,” Basile said. “I’m impressed by their fresh produce and they also have a terrific deli.”
Management didn’t want to talk Friday, but they let Patch take photographs.
“We’ll be opening soon,” said Ines De La Rosa, who was stocking refrigerated shelves with packaged cold cuts.
