Judy Collins opens the 54th annual Creative Living Series
Woodstock Fine Arts Association's 2017-18 line-up released; series subscriptions available

“Always More Than You Expect,” is the way many attendees of the Woodstock Fine Arts Association’s Creative Living Series, describe the programs. The Series is now in its 54th season, and we are pleased to announce the 2017-18 speakers:
October 19 – Judy Collins: A Conversation with a Modern Day Renaissance Woman

November 16 – Annie Polland: Lower East Side Tenement Museum, New York City
January 18 - Richard Cahan/Michael Williams: Architectural Preservation in Chicago

February 15 - Lindsy Mican Morgan: Art Institute’s Thorne Rooms
March 15 – Mary Skinner: WWII Polish Resistance
April 19 – Melissa Hannon: Peace & Paws Dog Rescue
All programs take place at the Woodstock Opera House and begin at 10 a.m. The cost of the series package is $115, which represents a $35 savings over individual ticket prices. Single tickets are $25 each and go on sale September 5.
The Creative Living Series is the nation’s oldest, non-university sponsored public lecture series. Not only is this an opportunity to be inspired and entertained by guest speakers on the historic Woodstock Opera House stage, a questiion and answer period follows and audience members are invited to come face-to-face with the lecturer.
The Creative Living Series experience also includes Coffee and Conversation in the Stage Left Café which opens at 9 a.m., just adjacent to the opera house.

The Woodstock Fine Arts Association is a not-for-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to promoting the arts in McHenry County and preserving the Woodstock Opera House. Since 1961, this group has worked to produce vibrant arts programming for all ages, from school children to adults as well as scholarships to area high school students. The WFAA focuses on four primary programs: Creative Living Series, Children’s Program, Scholarship, and Talent Showcase. The WFAA season’s only fundraising event is the annual Spring Luncheon.
