July 12 is ‘Everyday Hero Day’ at Crystal Lake Park District Summer Camp

Featuring Honored Special Guests

Crystal Lake Park District Summer Days Camps are featuring ‘Everyday Heroes Day’ as part of an all camp special event. On Wednesday, July 12, 12:30-2:30 pm at the Rotary Building at Veteran Acres Park, over 150 campers and staff will honor and meet 10 different everyday local heroes. Campers will not only participate in hero themed crafts, games and activities, they will also have the opportunity to visit stations where they can meet and interact with all of the invited ‘Everyday Heroes’. Special guests include: firemen, teachers, a school Principal, Chief Dan Dziewior of the Crystal Lake Park District Police, Nature Center staff, maintenance workers, Mayor Aaron Shepley, a nurse, a mechanic and other Park District staff.

There is still time to register for the last few sessions of Crystal Lake Park District Summer Day Camps. Camps are available for campers grades Kindergarten-Grade 9.
