July 4th Fireworks 2022 Near Crystal Lake, Cary

CRYSTAL LAKE AND CARY, IL — Cities and counties across the country continue to bring back many of the traditional Independence Day activities that were either canceled or modified the last two years. July 4 is just around the corner, so it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you in 2022.

We have all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Crystal Lake and Cary so you can start planning now.

Here's what's in store this July 4 in Crystal Lake and Cary:

July 4 Festivities

What: Crystal Lake Fireworks and Concert
Where: Main Beach, 300 Lakeshore Drive, Crystal Lake
When: Gates open at 9 a.m. for the Lakeside Festival. From 7 to 9:30 p.m. July 3. Voices in Harmony and the Crystal Lake Community band will perform. Fireworks at dusk.

What: Summer Celebration
Where: Rotary Band Shell in Lions Park, 1200 Silver Lake Road, Cary
When: Family festivities start at 6 p.m. July 1 in Lions Park and continue until 10 p.m. There will be music, food truck and fireworks. Admission is free, pavement parking is $10 and grass parking is $5.

What: Fox River Grove fireworks celebration
Where: Picnic Grove Park, 598 Birch Lane, Fox River Grove
When: The annual fireworks celebration kicks off at 5:30 p.m. July 9 and includes food, drinks, music and fireworks. No entry after 9 p.m. Shuttle buses are available and more information can be found here.
