Kids are Welcome in the Kitchen at the Crystal Lake Park District

Four Crystal Lake Park District cooking and baking classes are designed just for kids who want to be in the kitchen. These classes are an excellent introduction to learning about all aspects of cooking from planning, reading a recipe and actually working in the kitchen. Registration in advance is required for all classes. Register online at www.crystallakeparks.org or in person at the Crystal Lake Park District Administrative Office, One East Crystal Lake Avenue, Crystal Lake. Lil Bakers (age 4-7 years)

Cakes, cookies and little pies! Students will make a craft and create a delicious bakery item. This class is perfect for following directions. Wonderful recipes will be sent home with your baker.

Fun & Healthy Cooking for Kids (age 6-11 years)

Eating healthy not only can taste great, but help you gain energy and stamina! Kids will cook creative, nutritional recipes that they can sample on the spot. A comprehensive cookbook will go home at the end of the session so you can easily repeat your favorite recipe.

Giggly Gourmets (ages 3-7)

Your gourmets will begin learning the basics of kitchen knowledge and teamwork. We will make yummy creations they can sample in class and show off to you. Recipes will be shared at the end of the sessions so you can easily repeat them at home!
