The Land Conservancy hosts a free, family outdoor event Jan. 17

TLC is hosting Wild Woodstock Walks: Winter Night's Family Fun on Friday, Jan. 17 from 6:00 to 8:00.

The Land Conservancy of McHenry County (TLC) is hosting Wild Woodstock Walks: Winter Night’s Family Fun on Friday, Jan. 17 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hennen Conservation Area, 4622 Dean St., Woodstock. Free to the public, this event will feature guided night time hikes, a bonfire and a sheltered area with hot cocoa. This walk is part of a seasonal guided hike series featuring sites throughout Woodstock. Participants are encouraged to bring the entire family and dress for cold weather. No registration is required, and the event is free to the public.

Hennen Conservation Area is a 25-acre park in Woodstock that has been transformed from farmland into a wild and natural place with trails that lead through groves of trees, as well as wildflowers in the spring and summer.

The Land Conservancy of McHenry County is a member-based private nonprofit dedicated to preserving natural, scenic and agricultural land.
