The Land Conservancy of McHenry County (TLC) is hosting a free webinar, “Gardening with Native Trees and Shrubs” on Thursday, March 14 from Noon to 1:30 p.m. Participants can register online at https://conservemc.org/gardeni... Registration closes March 12 at Noon.

Native trees and shrubs provide year-round beauty as well as food and nesting habitat for birds and pollinators. Sarah Michehl, TLC’s community ecologist, will share favorite native trees and shrubs appropriate for the home landscape. The program will highlight foundation plantings, privacy hedgerows, and species to feature.

There will be a Q&A period following the webinar presentation, and registered participants will receive a recording of the webinar to download and view at their convenience.
