Leave Technology Behind for a Night Outside at Veteran Acres Park on Unplug Illinois Day, Sat, Jul 12

Join the Crystal Lake Park District for a FREE, family fun night as we celebrate Unplug Illinois Day at Veteran Acres Park! Unplug Illinois is a campaign created by the Illinois Park and Recreation Association that encourages people to unplug from their electronic devices and plug into play, creativity, friendship, adventure and family. The Crystal Lake Park District will join over 60 agencies across Illinois in support of this campaign. Hike the firefly trail, see which critters fly around Veteran Acres at nighttime and observe the night sky with the Lake County Astronomical Society. See what happens at the Nature Center after dark, including a campfire and snacks too!

Park in the Veteran Acres lot (431 N. Walkup, Crystal Lake). Alternate parking is available at the Nature Center (330 N. Main St, Crystal Lake) and Oakwoods Lodge (46 E. Terra Cotta, Crystal Lake).
