Local Teens to Perform National Anthem at White Sox Game

District 155 students Matthew Jazwinski and Grace Kinstler will perform at an Aug. 28 game.

From D155 Schools: D155 students Matthew Jazwinski and Grace Kinstler will perform the National Anthem at the Chicago White Sox game on August 19. It is the official Pediatric Congenital Heart Association of Illinois Day. Jazwinski submitted a video to the Pediatric Congenital Heart Association (PCHA) to audition for the performance and won. This is will Jazwinski’s first time performing the National Anthem at a White Sox game and Kinstler’s third time singing.

"It's a great honor and privilege to perform the National Anthem at a Chicago White Sox game that is honoring "heart warriors" and bringing awareness to pediatric heart disease. I am truly humbled to have this opportunity," said Matthew Jazwinski, Cary-Grove sophomore.
This will not be his first time performing for large crowds. He has performed with his band, Pulsebeat, at over 40 fundraisers and opened for artists such as Colbie Caillat and Ben Rector. Pulsebeat will perform at a variety of events over the summer.
