Man, 35, Found Dead in Crystal Lake: Authorities
Initial reports indicate he was kayaking prior to the incident.
LAKEWOOD, IL — Authorities are investigating the death of a 35-year-old man who was found dead in Crystal Lake Thursday afternoon. Interim McHenry County Coroner John Miller told the Northwest Herald that initial reports indicate the man had been kayaking prior to being found face down in the water about five feet from shore.
Rescue personnel were called to the 1300 block of South Shore Drive at about 12:31 p.m. Thursday. The man was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
