Man, 64, Killed While Crossing Street In McHenry: Police
The man was walking across Elm Street when he was hit by a car on Thursday evening, police said.
MCHENRY, IL — A 64-year-old man died after being hit by a car in the area of Elm Street and Meadow Lane in McHenry on Thursday evening.
Authorities say a 2008 Ford Focus was traveling east on Elm Street when it hit the pedestrian, who was walking south across Elm Street just east of Meadow Lane, according to a news release from the McHenry Police Department.
The pedestrian, a 64-year-old man, was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

It does not appear that drugs or alcohol are factors in the collision, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
