Ex-Dentist Sexually Assaulted Young Girl He Knew: Police

The 57-year-old Fox River Grove man is free on bail following his arrest Monday night.

FOX RIVER GROVE, IL –A 57-year-old man, who once held a license to practice dentistry in Fox River Grove, has been charged with sexually assaulting a young girl, the Northwest Herald reports. Bryan D. Stahl, of the 1100 block of Lincoln Avenue in Fox River Grove, was arrested Monday night following an investigation by the Fox River Grove Police Department. Authorities said Stahl knew the victim, according to the article.

Stahl is charged with criminal sexual assault, aggravated criminal sexual assault and domestic battery, according to online court records. Stahl posted his bond and was released from jail Thursday morning, according to online jail records.

Stahl is next expected in court on Sept. 5.

Meanwhile, authorities say an investigation is ongoing into the sex assault, according to the Northwest Herald.

Stahl's license to practice dentistry expired in 2012, according to the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
