Authorities say a 20-year-old allegedly used a cellphone to record multiple men inside bathroom stalls at McHenry County College.
MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — A 20-year-old McHenry man, Jerardo Hernandez-Alonso, has been charged with three counts of unauthorized videotaping after investigators say he secretly recorded men using the bathroom at McHenry County College in Crystal Lake.
Alonso is accused of using a cellphone to record three men in bathroom stalls on Oct. 11, 2024, by placing the phone — while it was recording — over the divider between stalls, according to the Lake & McHenry County Scanner. Police later identified and interviewed him at his home, where he confessed to the recordings, authorities said.
He was taken into custody after charges were filed in McHenry County Circuit Court.
