Man Charged With Stealing Prescription Medicine from Doctor's Office in Crystal Lake
The Crystal Lake man is accused of burglarizing the Caring Family doctor's office on two separate occasions in August and September.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL - A 26-year-old Crystal Lake man is accused of burglarizing the Caring Family doctor's office in Crystal Lake during two separate occasions last fall.
Bryan B. Botts, of 995 Plum Tree Lane in Crystal Lake, has been charged with two counts of burglary and one count of theft in connection with the burglaries that occurred at Caring Family, S.C., 781 McHenry Ave. in Crystal Lake, in August and September, police said Monday.
The first burglary occurred during the overnight hours of Aug. 4 to Aug. 5. Botts is accused of stealing prescription medicine and syringes from Caring Family during that incident, Derek Hyrkas, deputy chief of police for the Crystal Lake Police Department told Patch in an e-mail. The second burglary occurred on Sept. 25 and nothing was reported stolen, Hyrkas said.

Police said they recovered evidence at the scene of the one of the burglaries, and after a lengthy investigation, identified Botts as a suspect, according to a news release.
Botts is being held at the McHenry County Jail in Woodstock on a $50,000 bail, police said Monday. His next court date is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on April 11.
