Man Found Dead On Crystal Lake Central H.S. Property
The Crystal Lake Police Department was first called to the scene for a man who was experiencing a mental health crisis, authorities said.
CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — The Crystal Lake Police Department is investigating the death of a man whose body was found on the property of Crystal Lake Central High School Wednesday evening.
Police were called to the scene of the high school, at 45 W. Franklin Avenue in Crystal Lake, at about 6:50 p.m. for a report of a man experiencing a mental health crisis, according to a news release Thursday from the Crystal Lake Police Department.

When they arrived, they found a man, who is about 30 years old, with "obvious signs of injury" toward the rear of the property at the high school. Public safety personnel determined the man was dead, according to authorities, and the McHenry County Coroner's Office was called to the scene.
Authorities say they do not believe the public is in danger due to this incident.
