Man Found With Gunshot Wounds In Both Legs In McHenry: Police

The 35-year-old man was flown to Advocate Condell Medical Center for further treatment.

MCHENRY, IL — Authorities in McHenry are working to determine how a McHenry man sustained gunshot wounds to both of his legs.

The McHenry Police Department was called to the Fawn Ridge apartment complex, in the 1900 block of North Orleans St., at about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to a news release from the McHenry Police Department.

When they arrived, they found a 35-year-old man with gunshot wounds to both of his legs, according to authorities. He was taken by ambulance to Northwestern Medicine Hospital in McHenry with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

He was then flown to Advocate Condell Medical Center for further treatment.

Authorities say there does not appear to be any threat to the community, and an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
