MCHENRY, IL — A 21-year-old McHenry man who told police he had COVID-19 coughed in an officer's face and bit a hospital security officer in the arm following a suspected DUI crash in the 800 block of Curran Road Monday evening, according to police, the Northwest Herald reports.
Jonathon T. Larson has been charged with aggravated battery to a peace officer, aggravated assault to a peace officer and driving under the influence/alcohol in connection with the Monday incident, according to online jail records. He remained in custody as of early Wednesday on a $50,000 bail.
McHenry police spokesman Patrick Polidori told the Northwest Herald that Larson intentionally coughed in the officer's face after the officer performed field sobriety tests on him.
