Manufacturing Companies Relocate to Crystal Lake, Bring Hundreds of Jobs

Crystal Lake’s manufacturing community is on a steady growth path and has been a key contributor of manufacturing jobs in McHenry County, city officials said this past week.

New manufacturers such as Container International, Sunset Logistics and Precision Water Jet have recently made the move to Crystal Lake. Crystal Lake has also seen the expansion and reinvestment of existing manufacturers, including Vo-Tech, Inc. and G &M Manufacturing.

"Manufacturing businesses like these strengthen and stabilize the community bringing jobs and investments," Heather Maieritsch, the city of Crystal Lake's economic development manager, said in a news release.

Here is a look at some of the new manufacturing businesses that have recently relocated to Crystal Lake:

• Container International: Injection molding company is currently under construction and will be located at 176 W Terra Cotta. The company will bring 200 jobs over the next two years to Crystal Lake.
• Sunset Logistics: Procures supplies and transports various materials to clients. Sunset Logistics is located at 1320 Virginia Road and employs 40 individuals at that location.
• Precision Water Jet: This company uses water jets for specialized cutting techniques and is located at 684 Tek Drive. Precision Water Jet has 10 employees.
