MCCD First Fridays Concert Set For August
Lara Bell will perform on the back patio of the Lost Valley Visitor Center in Glacial Park.

From McHenry County Conservation District: Sit back and enjoy a summer evening of musical entertainment with Lara Bell on August 3 from 7–8:30 p.m. on the back patio of the Lost Valley Visitor Center in Glacial Park, Rt. 31 and Harts Rd. in Ringwood.
A native of Northern Illinois, Lara Bell is a rising singer/songwriter sharing her stories with the world through songs. With her acoustic guitar, Lara will be singing a set of her own poetically woven songs, plus some of your favorite tunes from almost every decade. Lara has played numerous venues around Chicagoland and Southern Wisconsin where audience members have compared her sound to Jewel, Joni Mitchell, Sheryl Crow, Nancy Griffith, and Bob Dylan.
Bring a picnic dinner or dessert and a lawn chair and enjoy our intimate outdoor setting under the branches of ancient oaks with stunning views of the outstretched valley. (In the case of inclement weather, concerts will be moved indoors. No glass containers. Site closes at 9 p.m.) Join us for our last First Friday Concert of the year on September 7 with Hurricane Saxophone Quartet.
