MCCD Celebrates New Amenities at Fel-Pro RRR
Celebration from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 18, will feature the new improvements at the conservation area located on Crystal Lake Road in Cary.
The McHenry County Conservation District has lined up a special outdoor evening celebrating the new amenities at Fel-Pro RRR conservation area.
The festivities are from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 18. Guests should enter the Fel-Pro RRR conservation area from the west entrance off Crystal Lake Road in Cary.
The public is invited to see the district's first fully accessible paved .35-mile looped trails, which are ideal for guests with strollers or wheelchairs.

Visitors can walk the loop and enjoy family nature activities spread throughout the trail. Cool summer treats will be provided to the first 100 guests, according to MCCD.
Guided hikes are set for 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. for those who want to explore the beautiful woodlands at Fel-Pro RRR.

Information about rain gardens, native landscaping and green living resources will be displayed.
Other additions to Fel-Pro RRR include a rain maker, abacus and two sensory play structures that are located along the nature trail. A picnic shelter and rock outcroppings to sit upon also have been added.
