MCCD Hosts Spring Break Camp

Over the course of three days, campers ages 8 to 11 years old will have the opportunity to learn, play, and explore in Glacial Park.

From MCCD: Are you looking for something fun for your child to do over spring break? Send them to McHenry County Conservation District’s Spring Break Camp heldTuesday, March 26–Thursday, March 28 from 9 a.m.–3 p.m. at Lost Valley Visitor Center in Glacial Park, Route 31 and Harts Rd., Ringwood.

Over the course of three days campers ages 8–11 will have the opportunity to learn, play, and explore in Glacial Park! Day 1 is Outdoor Olympics Day where campers will participate in various outdoor recreation activities that test their physical, problem-solving, and team-building skills. Day 2 is Nature Exploration Day where campers will hike the prairies, woodlands, and wetlands and learn about the various local habitats and their importance to wildlife. Day 3 is Outdoor Survival Skills Day where campers will test out their outdoor cooking and shelter-building skills. Registration, fee, and completed camper information paperwork is required by March 12: $60 County resident/ $75 Non-resident.
