McHenry Co. Man Accused Of Approaching Deputy With Knife
Nicholas Miller, 31, faces a felony weapons charge and was denied pretrial release.
MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — A 31-year-old McHenry County man is accused of approaching a sheriff’s deputy’s patrol vehicle while holding a knife above his head.
Court records show Nicholas Miller, of Johnsburg, is charged with unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, a Class 2 felony, Shaw Local is reporting. A judge denied Miller pretrial release last eek, finding that his criminal history and the allegations indicate he poses a threat to the community.
Miller was convicted of aggravated battery in 2018 and aggravated domestic battery in 2016, according to Shaw Local.
