Roadways Close Due To Flooding In Lake, McHenry Counties

Several roadways have been shut down due to flooding Monday, officials said.

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL —Several Lake and McHenry County roadways have been closed due to flooding, officials said Monday.

Here is a look at roads that have been closed as of 11 a.m. Monday:

  • Rawson Bridge Road from the Broken Oar to Tuxedo Lane in Cary has been closed until further notice due to flooding, according to a post on the McHenry County Facebook page. The roadways is also closed west of Roberts Road in Lake County due to water on the pavement, according to Lake County PASSAGE.
  • Route 59 from Route 22 to Scott Rd in North Barrington is closed due to water on pavement, according to Lake County PASSAGE.
  • Route 132 from O'Plaine Road to Route 21 in Gurnee is closed due to water on pavement, according to Lake County PASSAGE.

A flood warning remains in effect until 1 p.m. Saturday for areas along the Fox River and Chain O' Lakes in Lake and McHenry counties.
