McHenry County Warehouse Roof Collapses Under Weight of Snow, Sleet

This is the second time since 2007 that the roof at the True Value warehouse in Harvard has collapsed.

HARVARD, IL - No one was injured when a section of roof collapsed under the weight of heavy snow and sleet Monday at the True Value distribution center in Harvard, the Northwest Herald reports. Employees were not able to work Tuesday in the portion of the building where the 75-foot by 100-foot section of roof buckled and fell at the facility located at 306 S. Division St.

This is not the first time the warehouse’s roof collapsed under the weight of snow. In March 2007, a roof collapse limited operations for two days, according to the article.
