McHenry Man Arrested For Possessing Child Porn: Police
Jacob D. Fredericks, 22, of McHenry is being held on a $50,000 bond.

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL – A 22-year-old McHenry man was arrested Friday for possessing child pornography, police said. Jacob D. Fredericks was taken into custody after the McHenry County Sheriff's Office served a search warrant on a house in the 5200 block of Pistakee Drive in unincorporated McHenry. Fredericks has been charged with five counts of possession of child pornography, according to a news release from the McHenry County Sheriff's Office.
An investigation was launched after the Round Lake Police Department received a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. The investigation was transferred to the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office after it was discovered the incident had occurred in McHenry County, police said.
“Any day we can remove from the community someone who uses or distributes child pornography I consider that a very good day,” McHenry County Sheriff Bill Prim. “What’s more, every arrest is a warning to other users that they will be found, arrested and prosecuted.”
