McHenry Man Guilty Of Battering Elderly Woman
Steven K. Henshall could face up to 10 years in prison for battering an elderly woman he knew.

KANE COUNTY, IL -- A 49-year-old McHenry man has been convicted of battering an elderly woman at the Grand Victoria Casino in Elgin this past April, prosecutors said. Steven K. Henshall, of the 3200 block of Still Hill Road in McHenry, was found guilty during a jury trial this week of two counts of aggravated battery, a Class 3 felony, and aggravated domestic battery, a Class 4 felony.
]Henshall shoved the 84-year-old woman, who he knew, into a table and continued to pin her against the table while the two were at the casino in Elgin at about 9:30 p.m. on April 13, according to a news release from the Kane County State's Attorney's Office. His action apparently stemmed from him becoming angry with her over misplacing an item. He also hit her with her wallet, prosecutors said.
Two witnesses called authorities to report the abuse, according to the news release.
