Missing Man With Alzheimer’s Located After Good Samaritan Spots Him in McHenry Co.

Steven Wood was located after he was reported missing Wednesday afternoon.

The help of a good Samaritan has put one suburban family’s minds at ease.

Steven F. Wood, of El Paso, Ill., was driving in Glendale Heights, following behind a tow truck, when he went missing Wednesday morning, according to the Daily Herald. Wood, who has Alzheimer’s disease, was visiting his daughter at the time and unfamiliar with the area.

Wood was later spotted driving in the area of Route 31 and Route 120 in McHenry Wednesday afternoon,
A couple hours later, he was spotted by a good Samaritan at that same intersection, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

Authorities reported early Thursday that Wood had been located. No details on his condition, or if he was injured or needed to be hospitalized, were immediately available.
