New Fast Casual Mexican Restaurant Coming To Crystal Lake

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — A new fast-casual Mexican restaurant is coming to Crystal Lake in April.
Guzman y Gomez will be opening its third location in the Chicago area at 5459 Northwest Highway in Crystal Lake in late April, company officials told Patch. Founder and CEO of the fast-casual restaurant, Steven Marks, opened his first location in Australia in 2006 before bringing his fast-casual concept to Singapore, Japan and the United States.
The first Guzman y Gomez in the U.S. opened in 2019 with a drive-thru location in Naperville. Last month, the business opened its second U.S. location at 795 East Golf Road in Schaumburg, according to company officials.

The fast-casual restaurant serves up burritos, burrito bowls, nachos, tacos, nachos fries and their famous cali burrito, which is a burrito with fries in it.
